Lilit Sargsyan is an art critic and curator, founding member of AICA-Armenia, senior researcher at the Russian Museum of Armenia (collection of prof. A. Abrahamyan). Lilits main professional interests include Armenian contemporary art of the second half of the 20th century, as well as preparation of methodological handbooks in art education and their application. 1996 - Graduated from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, department of history and theory of fine arts. 1996 - 2006 Teaches in the UNESCO department of Armenian art history and theory, Yerevan State University, 2006 - 2014 Teaches in the Mkhitar Sebastaci educational complex and is engaged in art therapy in the Orran charity NGO, curates exhibitions in Armenia and Artsakh. She is the author of an array of exhibition catalogues and albums dedicated to Armenian Soviet and Contemporary artists. She has authored articles regarding various contemporary predicaments of art and appeared in media with interviews in this respect. Lilit has regularly been a public speaker in the Gafeschya Centre for the Arts, in the Armenian National Gallery, the Museum of Russian Art, as well as in various internet medias. In parallel to her current research activities Lilit is preparing educational programs or is occupied with the problem of museum modernisation and popularisation.
